Those Who Succeed…
Those who succeed are those who do.
I used to say, "those who succeed are those who try," until I heard the following wisdom; "Try not. Do or do not, there is not try."
When it comes to accomplishing something, you cannot succeed if you do not try to. This is what prevents most people from accomplishing their dreams, they just don't even try to do them in the first place. The reason I changed that phrase that I tell myself is that the word "try" just sounds so halfhearted. It sounds like, "well I guess I can try, what else do I have to do..." This is semantics though. The point here is that you can't accomplish something if you don't even try. You can't succeed without actually doing the thing you are dreaming of doing.
Why is it that a man with no arms can play a guitar better than me? Because he tried, and he didn't allow for excuses. I on the other hand, never really tried that hard. How can a human lift 6000 pounds? Run fifty marathons in fifty days? Walk on the moon? Hold their breath for 24 minutes? Write a best selling novel? Get a date? Lose a few pounds? Because they tried, and because they did. Excuses are like poop. They are crappy. I am not saying that anything is possible. I am saying, definitively, that if you don't try to do something, you will never accomplish it.
Those who succeed, are those who try.
