I Know, But…
Nothing you say before the word “but” matters. Ned Stark said a variation of this phrase. Darrell Rogers said yet another version of it. I am certain that many smart people over the years have come up with a similar belief. I may not be a smart people, but I too believe in this.
How to Accomplish Things.
So you want to be a writer? Learn a new language? Write a book? Learn woodworking? Lose weight? If you want to be great (or even just OK) at something, do it every day, no exceptions.
Choose Your Battles Wisely.
Have you ever heard "Work on your strengths, not your weaknesses" or a similar phrase? If you are like me you have heard many phrases like this. They hold within them oceans of wisdom, and yet you are doing something in your life that contradicts them.
